A romantic crossing
The construction of this bridge marked the emergence of iron architecture in the early 19th century. Its name alludes to the Louvre and its museum of art, and the bridge itself joins the museum to the Institute of France. Those out on a stroll will be able to sit on one of the bridge's many benches and take in the view that extends up towards the Ile de la Cité or down towards Place Concorde. It's the perfect spot for a romantic moment or a solitary daydream.
